Yesterday's rain was nicely absorbed by the previous inch of snow, and with some grooming, we're back in business. Skiing should be nice the rest of the week.
All trails in the woods were groomed flat. There is a lot of detritus blown down by the ferocious wind, but no major downed trees (yet...). Skate skiing or classic on the flat snow will be good today and the next few days. The wind was surprisingly bearable once in the woods.
The field has just one groomer run around the outside - we'll groom it fully tomorrow after the wind dies, so all the loose snow doesn't blow into the woods.
No tracks were set today because they would have filled with all the needles and twigs the wind is blowing down. Tracks will be set tomorrow.
