Skate lanes will be dragged smooth this morning. Today won’t get above freezing, so conditions will be hard and fast.
The adventurous can try crust skiing - off-trail skate skiing in the field - go where you want!
After today’s cold temps, the warm daytime temps return. It’s remarkable how good the snow coverage is, but expect the bare patches to grow in the next week.
Snowshoe trails are great, especially down by Lapham Brook where the spring melt makes for pretty rapids. As always, please stay on the snowshoe trails, and resist the temptation to walk back on the ski trails.
