Grooming and conditions 1/30/2018

Held off on grooming hoping for some snow.  Looks like that is not going to happen.  Best skiing will be in field.  Skate lanes will be groomed again on Wed. morning

Moonlight ski tonight?

Tonight may not be the best for a moonlight ski, I’m afraid. Amos and Steve are running out of snow to groom, so the field trails are pretty firm,  and the wind will be 10mph out of the north, with clouds. Boo hoo.

If you do head out, snowshoes may be a better option.

Tomorrow night is another chance, an hour later, depending on when clouds return.

Grooming and conditions 1/29/2018

Skating lanes in field will be groomed late AM.  Conditions are starting to get very thin in spots so ski with caution.  We do not plan on doing any new grooming in the woods.

Grooming and conditions 1/28/2018

Trails were dragged again this morning, and will be great for skating as the day warms.  There's still a track on the side, although it may be a bit glazed.

Most of the system is open, although the Pond Loop is still not groomed, and is not recommended.

The OSI ski trailer will be available starting at 1pm to ANSA members.

Bill Koch at 2pm.

Grooming and conditions 1/27/2018

Grooming will occur on Baxter Duathon Race Course early this AM.  Race starts at 10:00 AM so if you are skiing give right of way to racers.  There is plenty of room for all skiers.  Conditions are surprisingly good out there, especially for skaters.  Beware that parking lot is going to start to soften up and get muddy.  Get out there before the snow disappears in the summer like conditions.
